A bit of nice rain as well.

Haha! I remember that February 2005 day very well as the only summer day that I enjoyed in my fourteen years of living in Prahran. It poured and poured. Was absolutely wonderful. All the other summer days were just hot dry and desolate.

We had 2mm overnight so YTD is now 35mm.

I've had 33mm at Mt Macedon. Very very welcome. This time yesterday it was 30° , today it 9°! So refreshing.
I had 915.5mm for 2024. That's about 100 below average but still very reasonable considering how low it was elsewhere in the state.
At work in Macedon we only had 582mm, that's about 200mm ...

Can't help with ABC... except to make the generalisation that reporting quality of all sorts (across all media) tends to decline over the Christmas/ New Year period - fewer staff on duty and less experienced. Jeepers, that is low for you at Gordon.
Our lowest in 22 years was 2006 with 560mm. Absolutely shocking that year.
Thankfully the last fifteen years have been much much better and mostly above average.

4mm here. You know it's our driest year in our 28 years here when I count that as a win :(

What is your YTD total Gordon?
We have had 907mm which is below average but not bad at all. Our total is higher than Trentham this year which is quite unusual. They are still only in the 8's this year.

Given the forecast the fire that has been burning just out of Bullengarook is now a real concern for us at Macedon and Mt Macedon once the change comes through early on Friday morning.
A very similar set-up to what occurred on Ash Wednesday.
Any idea of what the wind speed will like ...

We scored 3.5mm and temp has dropped to 4.8° this morning.
Not looking forward to Boxing Day at all.

I've had 95mm since last Monday. Total for November will be near 120mm, amazing achievement after the hideously dry weeks preceding this one.
Hope it rains all summer.

44mm overnight at Mt Macedon. That takes me to around 60mm for the thread dates. Very happy because November was looking terrible after a fairly bad October. I can put my lawn sprinklers away for a while.
Very humid today at work. Quite uncomfortable.

15mm so far at Mt Macedon. Still verdantly green here on my mountain, not so down the hill, went to melbs yesterday and was shocked by the brown from Macedon to the city.
Just like the bad old days early this century. Ugly and dry as far as the eye can see.

We had 3mm yesterday. It's sad to be counting such pathetic amounts in November.

I've seen people posting about the wind/pollen on a gisborne FB group.
It has been dead calm at my place on Mt Macedon all day.
Spectacular looking day, warm but would swap the lot for a bit of rain.
