Re: Becoming humid with showers, storms and rain: November 22-30

Largely missed out in Melbourne's East.

15.4mm on Friday, 1mm on Saturday (storms developed just to the east of us), and a further 2.2mm since midnight today.

Event total 18.6mm. Not too bad, but would have loved a storm. The grass is drying rapidly.

27.8mm MTD, below average.

Re: Heavy rain and storms, with mountain snow: October 3-

Hi everyone, Gosh it's been a looong time. Still many familiar names here from the WZ days. Life has been busy, but the weather never stops! After 3 below average rainfall months, it's been lovely to finally have some worthwhile wet stuff. 42.8mm for this event (melb's east), surpassing July (23.6mm...

Re: Vic - Antarctic cold wave 7 - 12 Aug 2019

Too windy and unsafe to go snow chasing at the moment, and I'm running out of time today. No free time over the weekend, either so my opportunity is now lost, unfortunately. There's always next time... 7mm yesterday before midnight, 0.4mm this morning Min of 6.9C overnight 39kph gust since midnight ...

I'm excited!!! I do have Friday morning free, so I may grab the chance and head up to The Dandenongs. Might be dependent on the strength of the wind, though. The last decent fall I saw in The Dandenongs was August 10th 2008 (here if you're interested in pics: http://www.stormygirl.net/chase100808.ht...

10.6mm yesterday, lightning, thunder and hail. Gotta be happy with that!

42.2mm for the month, and 246.6mm YTD, slightly better than the 214.7mm for this time last year (475.2mm year total - lowest in my 13 odd years of recording...)

Either I forgot to check the gauge after the 26th April, or I was very lucky. 27mm in the gauge this morning up until 8:30am. Not sure how much we have received since, but it was raining on the way to work and raining on the way home. :D

Re: High Temperatures, High Humidity and Storms 26 Feb - Mar

Hi All, Max of 35.2C yesterday before the rain began. There were a few CC's around 8:30pm and a couple of rumbles around 11pm. Woke to 13mm in the gauge to 9am, and had 15mm since. Flooding in the back garden and the street, although now it hasn't rained for about an hour it has subsided. Currently:...

4mm here so far, and 1 massive flang hit just down the road. Max temp of 29.6C today, now down to 20.5C. Would have been nice to have received a little more rain, hope there's a bit more on the way. Still rumbling away in the distance.

Still getting a few rumbles here on the edge of the rain. Quick question, does anyone else get the lower grey section of the BOM thunderstorm warning page straight across the middle of the map or is it just me. Fixes itself when I do a page refresh. Yes. It's been doing it for me ever since they up...
