Seems like most of it was to the south of epping. Heard thunder now and again and had power drop for a second plus some heavy rain and lighter rain afterwards.

Didn't see anything out of my window

Had rain in Epping yesterday. Just enough to wet the pavement. Looked like it started getting heavy 1km away. Not sure why a few KM south and east seem to get hit more.

Not sure if we'll get much from what's coming towards us

Interesting how that storm from the SW suburbs is heading in a NE direction. Don't see that often.

I'm hoping it hits Epping and doesn't vanish before it hits here.

Got back from the coolest and most rain days Christmas/ new years period I can remember in Christchurch, NZ.

Sat around 12 degrees most of the day yesterday and peaked at 15 in the morning

Back to a 39 and 40 degree Saturday/ Sunday at the viewbank station

Weatherzone says a 18.7 dewpoint and 40.7 degrees at 5pm today

If this comes through surely that has to be a record dewpoint in the Melbourne metropolitan area for 40+.

Looks like melbourne airport has dewpoints around 12 degrees at that time. I wonder why.

Me not being in Epping seems to be a magnet for storms lately.

I missed a storm at home in Epping this afternoon due to going to the office but it doesn't matter Looks like one(hopefully a few) is coming from the north now.
