VICTORIA STATE FORECAST

A cold front will approach the state Saturday night, but only an associated trough will cross Victoria during Sunday afternoon and evening. Another front will cross the state Monday ahead of yet another cold front reaching the state late Tuesday and into Wednesday.
Isolated light showers, mostly clearing from central and eastern southern areas this evening, though persisting over the southwest. Light to moderate northerly winds tending north to northwesterly and strengthening overnight from the west, but particularly Alpine regions becoming susceptible at first.
Fine and mostly sunny at first apart from morning fog and frost across the east, though cloud increasing from the west later with scattered showers developing over western districts during the afternoon. Showers then extending to central and eastern parts at night. Risk of isolated thunderstorms in the west during the afternoon and evening. Fresh to strong and locally gusty north to northwesterly winds, reaching gale force across some areas, ahead of a temporary westerly wind shift extending from the west during the afternoon and evening.
Scattered showers over southern and mountain districts, becoming isolated later in the day. Showers falling as snow down to around 800-900 metres. Isolated thunder and hail possible across the south. Remaining mostly fine across the northwest. Fresh to strong westerly winds tending west to southwesterly from the west later.
Isolated showers across the east, clearing during the day. Fine elsewhere, however scattered showers redeveloping from the west during the late afternoon and evening, potentially reaching central parts late at night. Showers falling as snow down to 900 metres at first, raising to 1300 metres during the day. A cool day with fresh to strong westerly winds tending west to northwesterly and strengthening from the west.
Scattered showers over southern and mountain areas becoming more isolated during the afternoon and evening. Only isolated showers across the northwest, clearing. Snow down to 1300 metres. A cool day with fresh to strong westerly winds, tending more southwesterly during the day and easing before tending more northwesterly again later at night.
