If anyone here follows the MJO (Madden Julian Oscillation) and its effects on tropical cyclone activity/rainfall over Australia, you might be interested to know of a new MJO webpage due to be up and running from this Wed 1st Dec describing its current status and correlation with rainfall over Oz for this time of year:

Given the MJO forecasts from models suggest an active phase to move into the eastern Indian Ocean from early Dec (and very warm SST's/weaker shear), things could pick up over there soon. There's also the SE-moving developing tropical low out there progged by most models for later this week.
