Looks like a few areas of storms going up, the one in the Otways is rapidly building, the line of storms developing just ahead of the rainband and the more isolated cells to the west of Bendigo. Expect the radar to really light up soon, this is making study hard, lol.
Nice band of Showers and Thunderstorms developing along the trough from Renmark down to Cape Otway this will only continue to develop as it slowly moves East
Watch for isolated cells ahead of the band of Showers and thunderstorms developing along this line cells should be intense and a bit impressive
Great few days ahead, huge rain band building in SA and Showers and Thunderstorms developing across the state this avro
Melbourne I feel sitting in the sweet spot. Should see a nasty line of wet storms come through in a few hours. Thunderstorms will flatten after dark but will watch closely.
That line to the west is the dominating area of storms so anything that gets going ahead of it should be relatively mild in comparison to the main line sitting well west of Geelong.
Doppler wind signatures are showing signs of quite strong inflow! Should be an interesting afternoon down there I must say!! I hope to jump on a few webcams and have a look as it nears the CBD later on this afternoon.
I wish I could just fly down for the day to chase with the Victorians!!

TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for FLASH FLOODING and LARGE HAILSTONES
For people in parts of the Northern Country, Wimmera, North Central, Western and
Central Forecast Districts.
Issued at 3:14 pm Tuesday, 12 October 2010.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce very heavy rainfall, flash flooding
and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations
which may be affected include Ballarat, Maryborough, Castlemaine, Kyneton,
Geelong and Bacchus Marsh.
The line of thunderstorms is moving only slowly eastwards and the individual
cells are moving in a south southeast direction.
I just got back from Harcourt, and the cells down near Castlemain looked nice and dark with some nice intense rain curtains. Very chunky updraughts, and i may have seen a vapor vortex or 2 as well. Hard to tell fro the tree coverage blocking the view of the horizon. Skies are very messy atm, but that line down near ballarrat would look very nice
I live in a world where I dont see to believe, but I believe to see...
