Nothing to report out this way except persistent fresh easterly breeze and partly overcast. Rain predictions for here have backed off for most models except BOM's which predicts 90mm by Thursday here.
Partly blue sky here now. Spitting drops a little but nothing fancy. I'm actually thinking we could miss the bulk of the rain as it skirts just to the north, as the low is forecast to move north and then east. Timing, as usual, is everything.
Down in MelbourneToday where there have only been sporadic showers
Back home in Sebastopol my PWS is showing 70mm's since 5pm yesterday
Heaviest 24 hour fall since moved to Ballarat in March 2019

Incredible amount of rain in these parts. We’ve added a further 64mm today, totalling 143mm since yesterday.
The rain has only just stopped now and there’s even some blue sky to my north. Otherwise it has been raining non-stop since early this morning. We even had a big storm around late morning with torrential rain, flash flooding, thunder and lightning. Haven’t had a chance to go anywhere, so don’t know what the area is looking like, but I’d imagine there’s some flooding about.

(Snowfall, you must be looking at a pretty impressive total for 2023? We're doing well, but I think you've beaten us every major rain event.)
I don’t know, I reckon you’ve had some bigger events at times. 2023 was looking fairly ordinary here until the past 3 months. Oct, Nov and Dec have all been above average. December will now be over 240mm, which is an amazing turnaround from the dry winter / early spring. I have to check, but YTD might have even snuck past the 1,000mm mark with this…
18mm here today...very happy with this
Hard to gauge with looking at the radar...I think I’m going cross eyed...
The Rain may return tonight from NE which is unusual in itself with the low staying in mallee region
Heaps of instability all the way up to BNE with very dangerous cells around at times..happy days for all keen watchers

That's amazing, Snowfall. Before I finished up on the 15th we had only just crept over the 500mm mark at Bolobek in Macedon. A very lean year. Can't see us making the 750mm av but prob a fair bit closer now than what we were!
We had just over 960mm at home before we came up to bali a week ago. Can't wait to have a look in the gauge when we get home tomorrow. Hope to have leapt over the 1000 mark.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
