Rain has started here, maybe 5.30am
That radar looks like it will be settling a lot of the dust in the west,
Should be some happy rain dances.
Very calm here, not a breath of wind..
let it soak in to all of vic.
Mansfield forecast Friday am was 15 to 70mm
Friday pm 30 to 50, fill the Dam plz.
Was 24C in FC at midnight then the change dropped it to 13C in about 15 minutes. Just 1mm in the gauge so far. Rain band is very slow moving which is good as it will thicken as the sun comes up from mid morning. Looks a bit iffy for west central (mainly 10mm give or take) but fires from about the city east. Should be a dumper once it gets going
Looking like a very wet spell coming up for much of the state with a series of troughs then strong fronts. I’ve expanded the date range for the first part which includes today’s rainband, tomorrow stalked trough and a stronger front for later on Monday.
Rain started here 7 am with a monsoonal type dump for 5 mins.
The SWW has moved to the east of here now, hard to know how
much I will get. But it will be enough to make it all green again.
Looks like the west central is doing quite well, HB
Started raining heavily here in the middle of the night, slowed up at sunrise but we are back under it now.
Temp is down to 10C now. Glad to be cool again after that awful early warmth. Yuk.
10mm so far.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
Lovely wet morning. 18.6mm so far and currently teeming down. Had some very heavy bursts of rain overnight and a few big booms of thunder and close-range lightning. We also lost power for about 2 hours. It was very warm - still 27c at 11pm - until the change came in overnight. Thankfully much cooler now, currently 14c.
Had a couple of booming thunders here at Walkerville. One of the cells had quite a roll cloud (though didn’t photograph it ).
There is a little low in the Wimmera atm which is tracking southeast. If models are correct east central should see heavy falls develop next couple of hours. Been a bit slow so far east of the city with just 5mm here in Walkerville and 3mm in FC.
Btw was thinking 10-20mm west central going off Progs. Totals should be more like 20-50mm east central. Of course predictions for tropical events is a bit of a mugs game as an hour or two in the placement of the system with the diurnal cycle can make big differences :p
