A few photos from this morning. Awesome while it lasted. We dipped to 0.1C with 17mm of precip. Snowed for about six hours on and off. Snow always settles best here on the lee side of the hills with a 5-10cm cover in part of Olinda. Did some epic toboggan runs with the kids in the golf course
Would guess the peak snow depth at our place was about 5cm, but varies a lot with not much under the trees because they tend to catch it. In Olinda was up to about 15cm deep in drifts, but mostly about 5cm. Would be the best two snowfalls since 2008, but probably 5-10cm less than that event.
Still getting graupel showers here, but cold air is now headed for the Blue Mountains.
Friend up in Lionville reckons they had 10-20cm overnight. Lots of trees down. That’s a good snowfall for them, nowadays.
