Yes good riddance to January, our average max was more like Albury's, and bugger all rain. I'd hate to think where we'd be if not for that good December event.

The only saving grace was our minimums were about 1C above average; just one or two uncomfortable nights.

Our January was a shocker - Avg Max of 35.6c. 2 degC above previous record and 6c above average. More like Bourke than Bendigo.

Anyway, GFS drops a 100mm bomb on us next week, EC just 5mm. The latter has been much more accurate of late...

A nice 9.1 degree minimum this morning, but couldn't help notice the smell of smoke in the air.

6.5C at mine this morning and strong smell of burning Eucalyptus.

Probably from that fire burning in the Lerderderg state park near Blackwood.
