Only a few spots down the gippy coast, the wind is smashing what you can see on radar.

Some dark cores on those cells but they are moving very fast. Looking like a couple more appearing near Gisborne heading straight for home.

And there is a STW out.
OP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for DAMAGING WINDS and LARGE HAILSTONES
For people in Central, North East, West and South Gippsland and parts of East Gippsland and North Central Forecast Districts.

Issued at 3:06 pm Friday, 2 November 2018.
Severe storms ahead of the change.

Plan Image
Weather Situation:
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Geelong, Melbourne, Wodonga, Traralgon, Moe and Bairnsdale.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors if possible.
* Avoid using the phone during the storm.
* If you are outside, avoid sheltering under trees
* Listen to the radio for storm updates
* Switch off your computer and electrical appliances

The next warning is due to be issued by 6:10 pm.
If severe thunderstorms develop in the Melbourne Area, a more detailed Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued to people in this area.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 217. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

Down at Inverloch for the weekend - had some light rain past Kilcunda and then hammered down from Wonthaggi to Inverloch.

Yep looking like a fizzer or more appropriately for these times "Another one bites the dust"

It's very unstable but unless one forms right on top it's looking unlikely. Very fast moving too so totals would not be much anyway. Attention turns to the next hope of Tuesday next week.

Great photo Mick. Sadly, looks to have split around Melbourne. About 4mm the best of it, and about 10mm of evaporation

Guess we now look to Monday and Tuesday next week. Getting desperate for a decent fall.

Well, surprise surprise, yet another big fat FIZZER!!!

Going to have to soak the gardens with the hose after all. This disgusting rubbish wind has no doubt taken it's toll on the already stressed plants. :x

7mm here, a couple of storms but just missing the direct hits. Some nice black cores on the radar. Melbourne certainly had the dome switched on today, sweet spots north and south.

Great shots Mick :)

Some interesting temps around Melbourne. Still around 30c here in Tarneit south west of the CBD, the city is around 23c.
