More on and off heavy rain this evening with the odd thunder clap. Now sitting on 46mm. The main rain band is now edging in.

Looking at the radar and its gonna be pouring here for the next 2 hours at least as the next band moves in from the west.

Im a heat and humidity lover, but wow ive missed falling asleep to rain hitting the colorbond roof!

Just emptied the gauge & let the dog out for an urgent toilet break, 31mm! :o :)

More on the way going by the radar. Roads could be a mess in the morning if it's still going by the time we all leave for work.

Up to 14mm here, so a little healthy fall so far and it's still raining! :) Main band of rain hasn't even reached the area yet, we're seeing the "leftovers" from today's showers/storms still, so should wake to hopefully around 20mm, hopefully 25mm. Best of luck to everyone else. And welcome to the forum all the new users ... if there are people reading and not yet joined, feel free to join, we'd love to hear what's happening in your neck of the woods! :D

EDIT: Good to see you getting a nice fall there Skywalker!

Hi folks, reporting here from Kurunjang (just north of Melton). So dry are we here that I even get jealous of the rain that the rest of the western suburbs get!

Not so tonight, just ticked over 42 mm here, the second highest daily total in the 4 years I have lived here...and more to come. It was desperately needed here with many street trees dying as well as some old Red Gum and Grey Box trees.

I won't be able to contribute to much of the amazingly insightful discussions that go on here but intend to report regularly from my dry/windy patch (and probably complain about all the rain that everyone else gets).

Thick fog and drizzle here this morning slowly topping up the total. 27mm now so a very handy fall (or 35mm counting last weeks storms). MTD is about 60mm, so a little below our monthly average which is near 70mm. We might just about get there, depending on the next hour or two.

Bumper system for central areas, and now into the east. Must be the odd spot which has cracked the 100mm for the event :D With the December rain, some spots are having a red hot go at one of the wettest summers on record.

Very happy to finish the month with a decent fall after all the heat. With a bit of luck, this sets us up for a nice green end to summer.

Well we ended up with 10mm, less that I was hoping but still useful to water the garden and put some water into the tanks. Some great falls around, I hope everyone had some luck with this :)

51mm for that last batch, 95mm for the thread :) 3 very decent thunderstorm days thrown in there, nice indeed. Big models picked this event up really well but struggled on the detail in the end..... but Access C nailed it early yesterday that the trough was slowly.

I was in a good spot as some gauges not so far away had half of that, win some you lose some....I've lost plenty but not this time ;)

Slight mist atm which will not likely add to the great result of 39mm this time around. As Jasmine just mentioned "win some lose some" after the complete misses last week all is looking good here, garden soaked, tanks full. :D

You certainly were in a good spot Jasmine.
We have had had 14mm from storm late yesterday and overnight added to 10 for the rest of the long weekend.
Could have been better, storms all around at various times.
Cheers Chris
