Slightly dying before hitting eastern areas of Melbourne.
No doubt it will redevelop somewhere past Noojee

I went down to the bay for a bit of a sneak peak and it was blowing a gale two hours ago the wind has dropped right off now and I think that will help things
My two bobs worth I reckon it's gonna be a very very active night

Round 1 delivered 13mm. More than expected.
And yet the AWS got nothing.

Just got home to heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and thick fog! We’ve had 10mm so far.

Seemed very disorganised earlier, most of it disappeared as it headed towards the eastern side
Humidity has played havoc with the floating bamboo floor, got a 'hill' in the middle of the lounge
At least it's cooled off finally, even if the humidity will be around for a bit longer.

Closed in beautifully.... an angry 25mm so far, still ticking over. Bigger totals just south of here
This cell coming over the range towards Melbourne is a mini water bomb. Interesting to see if it gets shredded.
Rainband slowly building out west.

Still to trouble the scorer here. Thick fog and spitting but main band still 30km west. Dp and temp both 18C.
Heaps of 20-40mm falls under the band with a few spot closing in on 50mm. Few more hours and this could be big

35mm, slowing but still ticking over.
Yes Wilko, it's still holding in there, a little shredded.

Great reports folks, keep them coming!
It’s been raining here steadily for a while now, not sure on totals. And just heard the first bit of thunder for the day.
Certainly some impressive totals building for those who are fortunate enough to be under this band. More rain building to the west.

Since I posted my hopes of it continuing earlier it started to back build over the bay and hasnt stopped raining since!
Has potential to be a great night ahead, slowing slightly now but looking at the radar a decent old blob has us in its sights, hope it holds its course to the Peninsula.
As Jake said, awesome reports, great reading!
