Wetter than expected. Bendigo AWS up to 18mm and still raining. It's turned out to be a very wet April here.

Wet night in FC and still going. 30mm in total adding to the 3mm yesterday. MTD is about 100mm now. Closing in our our monthly average which (from memory) is about 125mm.

Looks like a vert wet two to three days ahead. Unstable humid westerly stream today then a strong front for tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to get another 50mm locally, perhaps even more. Tomorrow will be a cracker with heavy rain, local hail, thunder and snow to below 1000m :?

Great rain for all the catchments etc setting things up.

Looking across the obs, places in central Vic look to be on track for the wettest April since 2001. Could well do better than that. Some spots with short records have broken past records.

As an aside strange set up as while we are getting these amplifying troughs coast areas west of (about) Adelaide are running very dry. Month has been dominated by cutoffs developing in easterlies. Perth hasn't had any rain for the month and is on track for its driest April on record. We've been lucky to be in the rights spot with the systems. No complaints from me ;) :D

26mm here and still raining solidly. I think HB is right for the next few days. We could definitely get more than double of last night in the right southwesterly setup.

Very nice.

On a side note, i think today is another one of those days where BOM forecasts rain yet it's going to be mainly fine once this lot passes through. (Going by the radar)

Impressive system! Although as stevco said, BOMS forecast for rain all day today looks a little out of whack, not a lot on radar after this moves on, anyone with a lot more knowledge than me able to shed some light on what's to come?

Nothing on the radar but coming down quite heavily here. Almost like a very fine and heavy drizzle.

Could be wrong about today. This looks like it could continue for several hours.

15.8mm for us here. Certainly turning into a wet month - so far 102.7mm. The average is 68mm. The tanks are all full, and the ground is so sodden in some places that it might actually be nice for things to dry out a little! But would certainly prefer rainy weather to dry. Looks like scattered light showers appearing on the radar behind the main rain band.
