Wet night in FC and still going. 30mm in total adding to the 3mm yesterday. MTD is about 100mm now. Closing in our our monthly average which (from memory) is about 125mm.
Looks like a vert wet two to three days ahead. Unstable humid westerly stream today then a strong front for tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to get another 50mm locally, perhaps even more. Tomorrow will be a cracker with heavy rain, local hail, thunder and snow to below 1000m
Great rain for all the catchments etc setting things up.
Looking across the obs, places in central Vic look to be on track for the wettest April since 2001. Could well do better than that. Some spots with short records have broken past records.
As an aside strange set up as while we are getting these amplifying troughs coast areas west of (about) Adelaide are running very dry. Month has been dominated by cutoffs developing in easterlies. Perth hasn't had any rain for the month and is on track for its driest April on record. We've been lucky to be in the rights spot with the systems. No complaints from me
