Feels like I'm breathing water atm. Small specs on the radar bringing absolute downpours. Only a rumble or two tho

Nice band developing now near the trough. This will dump big falls fast. Just need it to widen 10km so we can catch it.

The trough will be with us until tomorrow morning which is why the storms and rain will go through the night.

Just caught the very edge of that last cell here. Just a few rumbles and 1.6mm's of rain in about 3 minutes.

What a hot, humid, stinking day! Cloud bubbled away all morning and afternoon, and now finally, it's pouring!! I'm on the train near Richmond and it's pouring down! Haven't seen any lightning or heard thunder yet but it's just so nice to have some rain. :)

Should continue most of the afternoon storms dissipating and redeveloping. Exciting times!

Its like a traditional Christmas now, I hope the news has footage of flooded campers at Rye and Dromana etc, it used to be a tradition.

Lots of rumbles to our west here. That band is moving east with cells developing on its northern flank. Looks to be aimed for the burbs east of Melbourne. Lots of 10 to 20mm falls showing up west and north of the city in quick time.

Okay! Now I've seen some lightning. Heaps of flangs and I can hear the thunder from inside the train cab while travelling! So so loud, but insane! :) hopefully my house is okay.

Best storms in ages and as many have pointed out, flash flooding is definitely an issue.
