Lightning between Wedderburn and Inglewood. Looks like she is starting to fire! Yellow on radar at Kyneton.

Cool change just reached us here. We maxed out at 40.8°C just after 2pm. Humidity dipped to 11% but instantly shot up to 28% on the change. Up to 30% now

Yeah, if we are lucky we could get some remnant showers of the storms. Although, think they will go through Lilydale, Mt Dandenong and the Yarra Valley. Maybe something overnight or into tomorrow. Not enough trigger down here at the moment. Most likely will need to wait until Sunday for anything decent!

That first lot on the radar that went over Mt Dandenong produced nothing here at Ferny Creek

Was just a brief shower here Robyn, heavyish for about 30 seconds. Clearing now and the wind is getting up a fair bit, cooler too, down to 18c now.

G'day

I remember New Year's Eve 2007 we'll. We spent it down by the water at lake eildon. It was still 36 at midnight. We swam till 3am and fell asleep on the bank cause it was just too hot to go up to our site. I hope it's not a repeat this year.

Now that I live up here instead of Melbourne I don't feel the heat as much, it was 40 here today but I didn't feel that hot.

Cheers

It's when it's been hit for 2/3 days in a row,
the concrete doesn't cool down homes are still heated no one sleeps,
so this last one we didn't have this so was more bearable.
