24th September 2012 - SE QLD Storms

Well after driving over 500km's on Friday without much luck, I was finally about to intercept my first decent QLD storm yesterday! We had a trough move through after a warm start to the day, leading to some unstable weather. Unfortunatley, as I'm learning, moisture is a bit of limiting factor at this time of the year up here, so even though we've had a few storms already this spring they have all been quite high based and not overly impressive structurally.

Nevertheless, managed to snap some alright photos and gain some experience on the roads up here...

And the great thing about storms up here, as soon as they clear out, it's back to warmth and clear blue skies :)

Awesome MESO. I love the spooky Harry potter theme. Excellent
You will have to enter an exhibition one day. Or better still the weather tribe photographers should organise an weather photography exhibition
Lucky you living up there. Coolangatta and kirra are 2 of my favourite spots
and where were the shots taken?

Crikey, these shots were taken around the Scenic Rim region of QLD, near a little town called Boonah.
