Yeah it came through with a thud Karl, but it was short lived. Can anyone else confirm minor dust with the wind change? Or is it just hazy, or are my eyes playing tricks on me???? The sky has quite a mixture of clouds going on too
Been trying to rain for 5 minutes here, just the occasional lot of dodgable rain. Winds really kicking up now, spectacular weather. Heard there are a lot of power outages around the place, which is surprising given this is hardly the worst wind we have had over the last few months.
Update 4:22pm
Skies have hazed in now with signs of wet stuff falling but not making it to the ground. winds are really going strong and very constant in this area. A lot of leaves blowing around for an industrial estate.
That small band of showers developed right over us today as seen on the radar, and was even lucky enough to get one CG quite close by, and I seriously fluked seeing it at school. Hardly any rain however, maybe 6 drops max.

Lots of raised dust around here as well. THe clouds cant seem to decide what they want to do either. Saw some nice Mama's before, now its all mid level junk with a couple of small accas under a blanket of cirrus and mid level turbulent thrown in as well. haha. Interesting to see a couple of strikes down near Ballarat. Dont really want any storms tonight, not enough precip to go with them. Its drying out way to quick, and with the winds associated with this change would be hell for firies...
I live in a world where I dont see to believe, but I believe to see...
After reaching 32.5C here today in mostly calm conditions, a 20.5C gusty westerly is now established without rain or thunder (although the odd splat was heard on the AM band). Maybe the 2nd band 15 minutes away might give us a mm or two.
Well i think the rain followed me home after work, rained consistantly and at times quite heavily for the 30 minute trip....had not much else after getting home, just a bit of light drizzle. Quite a suprise when i thought i would get nothing but a couple of drops.
That was almost beyond belief...normally we would be never even see drizzle out of that, but as is with our weather anything can happen. Just went out to see the mid level deck shooting turrets off everywhere, and it even backbuilded for a good 30 minutes over our house..remarkable. Even though only 2mm it was still amazing to see.
