Also an interesting area of convergence over W Gippsland which is quite thundery.
Should expect a similar band of showers moving up overnight with a more established WSW wind.

14mm here, very happy. What i meant AV, are those cold uppers due to the relative southerly jet stream?

In a nutshell, yes. You can see the cold air surging up from the south, but most times encounters the ridge and doesnt make it.

We were getting showers yesterday and last night. To 9am yesterday we had 5.4mm and to 9am today we have had 3.0mm.

Sorry for the late post, but we got 7.5mm overnight Thursday, no storms or significant weather with it. But add the 14mm we got Tuesday and its evident why things have gone from white 3 weeks ago back to green around here. Our golf course is magnificent atm, as was the Traralgon race course today {burp - scuse me}.
Got a couple of showers in the westerly at Traralgon around midday, 1mm imo.

i forgot to add that i have a light cover of cloud so if it hangs around could stop the 40 degree day maybe.
