It's always about the east. So sick of this side of Melbourne, especially Caroline Springs.
*end of rant*
Drove through some tropical rain leaving Sunshine West, mini rivers flowing along the gutters with puddles everywhere on the roads.
Caroline Springs, Melbourne's meteorological boredom zone.
Another 14.3mm overnight and this afternoon which takes the monthly total past 77mm which is almost 30mm above average.
Things are quite wet out there now and green grass is appearing like magic, drains flowing, streams starting to flow again....a couple of days ago it still looked like a nuclear disaster. It's amazing how quickly things can change.
One of the dogs wont walk on the lawn, it did this morning, but thres no way it will now, not even for food. The other one does like normal. This dog usually sits and looks at the rain and lightning. I cant see any signs of a strike on the lawn, so its got me stumped. Something happened out there but I dont know what. Any ideas?

Maybe it's been so long since it rained the dog's forgotten what that weird wet stuff is on the lawn
Just 4.4mm's here since 9am and it does not look like we will get much more.
Good system though 46mm's here and we are well past the FEB average for my place.
Still about 30mm's below the YTD average.
Great Pics Blackie, Yes I bet its a tad wet at our beloved Mansfield also. Good clean out of the tanks for sure..
Was just looking at the Weather Station site. 24mm in 3 hours..
no storm activity here today apart from 4am this morning. A loud 18mm of rain from that storm. Foggy and humid for the majority, dribbly rain falling atm, not much to come, all over till the next system when ever it is. Been a goodin though
49mm here in Shepparton since 4pm, roads are flooded everywhere, lots of storm flooding, sirens were going crAzy a couple of hours ago, lightened off at the moment , well they do say in never rains, it pours!! makes a nice change from the humidity we have been having for the last week , meanwhile up my way, 40 minutes away , we hardly got a drop! go figure!
Here's a video of some crazy flash flooding in Shep. Some places are supposedly reading up to and over 100mm, and I would beleive it as well. They have had constant orange and red cores for 4 hours nearly!
