Really hope your not right Karl regarding nothing much for the next 2 weeks, will have to be a ripper last week of nov or this month will be a serious right off. Can only hope for cooler temps if this is the case. :(

Rhino. :) :)

I hope I am wrong too but it does seem like the weather will be mild to warm with weak dry fronts tempering southern VIC and slowly heating up over the NW.

Focus of the showers and storms moves east today.

Certainly looks that way on extended model runs. Time will tell.

As for today, mainly activity through eastern Victoria with showers and storms. Borderline chance of isolated thundery showers extending further west through Melbourne and into parts of the Central district. The latest AWF thunderstorm forecast has been updated here for more information; http://theaustralianweatherforum.com/AW ... ecast.html or view the bottom of this page.

Also should see a bit of an increase in showers about the southwest late today ahead of an approaching front.

Just 0.6mm's with that thundery shower this morning.
MTD is 13.4mm's. Already starting to look look another dry month here.
Some storms now firing in the East of the state over the high country and some other storms just west of Bairnsdale.
May get one or two more showers later today here but only a slight chance of more thunder I think.

Quite a lot of convection out there at the moment, think we might do OK through the C Districts this afternoon. Keep watching.

10mm in as many minutes out at Bairnsdale with gale force winds. Lots of rain in the east today.

Decent thunderstorm has just passed here although still hearing thunder. Lightening put the power off for half an hour.

Doesn't really look like it's going to storm here today though it does seem a bit hot and weatherzone says possible storms for my area. I was actually surprised when I saw the word "storm". Atm the sky is blue with a couple of clouds, a nice day though Melbourne is know to have 4 seasons within a day lol. So I'll keep my eye out if anything occurs. ;)

Great looking convection going up around us here in Mansfield particularly to the east over the alps as Pane mentioned.

Nice pics B!

Yeah there are a few thundery showers starting again ahead of another trough! It is so crazy this weather. I cannot keep up.

Perhaps 5mm or so locally.

Few thunderstorms around last night 2mm rain for us.Total 76 mm. There has been a lot of much larger falls of rain than what we had around here.

Stunning rainfall Alexia! Should keep the fire risks down now for a while.

More humidity coming next week with further rain and storms likely in the NE.

Had two heavy showers last night netting 2.6mm of rain. Taking me to 16mm for the event and hopefully dragging ourselves towards 20mm after some further showers this afternoon.

Was still some lightning to the NE of Melbourne this morning!

Anyone see this storm around Bairnsdale - Orbost yesterday? best looking movement I've seen from a storm this season in Vic going ENE and the core held together for a fair while.
