A Good Autumn

Post by Gordon »

Obviously there are some in the north-west who would like more rain asap, but the BOM's Vic rainfall deciles map for autumn is pretty good: http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/awap/rain/ind ... th&area=vc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Average or above average rain fell across most of the state.

Have just returned to Dunolly after being away for 3 months ( autumn)
Have arrived back to dry conditions. The landscape looking quite drought like for the autumn months
Our neighbour said the best rain was the day before we arrived back when we had 30mm here in the gauge

It would seem the trend for the west has been dry for the past 12 months at least and wetter in the east of the state. Quite a distinct delineation between east and west in terms of rainfall anomalies

Yes, it was a pretty good Autumn here in the end as well.

183.5mm for the season against an average of 175.5mm so very close to the average. March was significantly cooler than average, May was a little bit cooler than average (for both minimums and maximums) and April was a fair bit warmer than average.
