A report from ACCU weather
Tropical One-Two Punch for Mexico Next Week
Oct 8, 2011; 4:06 PM ET
Not one, but two hurricanes will threaten the West coast of Mexico next week as the tropics heat up again across the eastern Pacific.

Gee. They say twins but that picture looks as though there could be a third?

Irwin and Jova, meandering near each other over the Pacific, will continue to churn east toward Mexico.

Jova represents the more immediate threat to the nation's west coast as a potential Category 2 hurricane early next week.

AccuWeather.com meteorologists are currently forecasting the center of the storm to come ashore Monday between the coastal cities of Ciudad Lazaro Cardenas to the south and Puerto Vallarta to the north.

Right in the middle of this potential landfall zone is Manzanillo, a popular tourist attraction and one of the busiest ports in Mexico.

Heavy rainfall and damaging hurricane-force wind gusts are a strong possibility, especially near and to the south of where the storm makes landfall.

Evacuation orders could be issued by the Mexican government for tourists and residents sometime this weekend.

Because of the rugged, mountainous terrain just inland, mudslides from flooding due to tropical downpours will be a huge concern.

Adding to this threat could be Irwin, which may take a track similar to Jova and impact nearly the same areas later in the week.

Residents and visitors to Acapulco, farther south along the coast, should also monitor the progress of these storms, although it appears that the worst of both storms will remain off to the north.

Regardless of strength and landfall location, it appears a large portion of the southwestern coast of Mexico is in for a significant amount of rain from both systems through next weekend.
Meteorologist Eric Leister contributed to this story.

( Isn't Mexico the place where all the drug lords kill lots of people :x
Those 'full of it drug lords' might think they are tough ,but they are no match for a hurricane. Like to see them try and kill one of those.
Hope they wake up to themselves.
