The thickest band of rain we've had since it fired up is about to hit the Monash.

16.5mm so far since midnight. Will prob crack the 25mm by midnight tonight. Looks like we will be getting our predicted 100-150mm over the coming few days. What a year. :-)

Melbourne airport has copped 30mm in 30 minutes! I live just west of it and it's pouring down so heavily

Bugger the rainfall obs.. the good news is there's clearing blue sky to my east with some massive towers in sight.

Just a quick post as im flat out at work today. Reports of many roads around bayswater/ringwood/croydon under larger amounts of water. Channel 7 news chopper is currently flying around the area taking snaps.

Only 2 hours too late, but about time.

25.9mm from that lot, now there are towers developing out East and the directional flow has changed, now we are into NE.

Party time peoples, tomorrow could be a huge day for us.

VIC Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Flash Flooding
For people in parts of the
Central and
North Central s.

Issued at 4:38 pm Wednesday, 1 December 2010.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce very heavy rainfall and flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Geelong, Melbourne, Yarra Glen, Frankston and Bacchus Marsh.

22mm in 45 mins, rain held its integrity beautifully coming across the northern suburbs. Just an awesome (wet) few months!

~3:10pm when the cell was closing in over my house!! If i got ahold of a camera earlier, i could've gotten a lot better pano of the shelf cloud :x

Sounds like Croydon is well under water and the local SES have asked for a wee bit of help.

Steady rain in the CBD but not flash flood conditions by any means.

Most of it seems to have missed our area by the looks of it.

Stopped raining here presently. In that last shower activity we recorded 12mm. Just curious, where are your figures from VRB20G45?

Missed most of it here only 2mm with the main 2 lines of storms either going North of me towards the Airport (East to West) Or over the Eastern suburbs WSW moveing towards the bay
