Thanks Wes was just about to leave for work and didn't have time to start the new thread..looks like it will stick North today but will be interesting to see how far South she pushes..northern slopes will be wet.
Watch the band of rain in the east. Could be some interest if it moves a little further west over the coming hours as that changes the ball game.
Could see a few showers in the far NE suburbs of Melbourne this afternoon and perhaps an outside risk of a little rain making into the big smoke overnight!

Thought today was marginal at best for Northern Country, but here we are!
From my CBD vantage point, cloud streaming in from the East. Mainly mid to high based and quite cool outside.
Yep something unpredicted is unfolding imo, havent been able to see3 past 1km for mist/drizzle here in LV and the missus at Maffra tells me its being lightly raining on and off all morning coming in from the E with a fresh wind.
Sizable band of rain around Wagga Wagga making its way south.
Alexia, you will be in the firing line! This band has the odd embedded storm, mainly at the back end of the band. Won't be surprised to see it intensify!
A trough of low pressure is currently moving back over northern Victoria. Conditions are slightly favourable for isolated thunderstorm development along the Murray this afternoon thanks to marginal instability and colder air aloft. If any development occurs, there is the slight risk for flash flooding. There has been some convective shower activity northeast of Melbourne this morning, however they are not expected to develop into thunderstorms.
