About three minutes of torrential rain, some weak squalls and a bit of thunder and lightning. At least I got something, very nearly missed out.
Driveway is awash now and spouting leaking furiously.

I saw 3 rather large pulsing CG's in the last 5 minutes out to my SE. 1 was probably just a little south of you Karl - any flangs out your way?

BTW the intensification I believe is a combination of frictional convergence - the band coming off the flat western plains/bay and hit the eastern burbs hills and also the bay effect. I suspect friction is the main factor this time of year.
Thanks hillybilly
Dry here also, although the wind is really picking up now and getting quite gusty. No rumbles and haven't seen any distant flashes yet either.

WOW MASSIVE CC's right to the north but at such a good and close view. This is the most lightning active storm i've been close to in the past 5 years. Thunder is hardly audible now though.

37mm here and under water in the streets and going to the creek down the road.
8mm at the AWS which is obscene.
The back is flooding too here. Patio under water.
Hmmmmm. Looks like I again cop the best of it!!

Rain started, then stopped suddenly, then started suddenly... like someone upstairs is playing funny bugrs with a big tap.
No trees down yet so still quiet on that front.
EDIT: big lightning bolt, thunder no more than 5 sec away.

The rain here is now absolutely torrential, haven't seen anything like it here since NYE. Can't hear myself think over the noise of it on the laserlight over the back deck

Blind creek is now Blind Rapids.
Water over the road on Timothy Drive. Cars turning around. I just got out in time as more water was coming down.
Heavy rain continues.
I am not sure how much more I have had but surely that is just incredible.
Edit. Huge CC!!!

Judging by radar the system pivoted in front of the hills for 20 minutes giving us a smacking!!
Rain backed off but lightning increasing to the north and northeast for the NE suburbs so could be some big falls there.
I cannot believe how heavy it was. Even had marble hail too!
