Whats your Digital debt?

Post by mick »

Hmm, well before the chips were cooked, there was a thing called film. This made photographing the weather a very time consuming and expensive hobby. Running along nicely, but not well known, a bit like tweeting, or plane spotting, but not as bad as train spotting. Umm tweetng was bird watching, not girls, not tweet as in twitter, tweet as in tweet tweet. Gawd whats going on?

BOOM, we have chips.

Digital cams. I spose my tragic history is limited to 4 or 5 grand since around 1995. Mainly the 350D bought too soon for 2.5g or something silly and a few compacts. A grand for cards. It used to be a $ a MB once, wasnt that long ago a gig was a grand, now 2 gig, cheaper than a trip to coles for groceries.

So who is the most tragic out there? I reckon 20 grand might be common, 50 grand I reckon a few can top. HOW HIGH CAN YOU GO?? :o

I think I undervoted the price, now I do the sums....we've got a Sony FX7...bought from Hong Kong for about $1800 less than the Australian price, a Panasonic 3CCD mini DVD camera (the tapes are interchangeable between the vids)......we've got 2 Canon 550D cameras with 2 kit lenses each, 4 memory cards, 3 batteries...2 Canons cameras (1 x Canon A610 & 1 A80 which are going to be turned into webcams)

Sorry that $10-15,000 vote might be wrong if its just for video gear.

Clubhouse leader!

Already I can see a business opportunity for a small camera shop to target weather enthusiasts.
