Some fantastic widespread falls throughout the state, with a number of locations on the South Coast receiving in excess of 100mm. A huge rain band is approaching the coast south of Sydney, am expecting another 50mm today at least in many areas.
GFS was onto this early doors, but they eased off the overall rainfall figures. It will all depend on how long the low stays near the coast (forecast to slip away towards NZ later tonight).
Wouldn't be surprised to see a few flood warnings issued.
Terrey Hills radar seems to be over-estimating the rainfall mate.
Still good for 50mm IMO, maybe not 100mm.
However, BOM has forecast the heaviest falls this afternoon.
Similar to VIC, NSW is forecast to get another rain event later in the weekend.
