So far rain doing well this evening to dodge my place, just a few drops. When emptying the gauge this morning, and bringing my overnight and yesterday arvo total to 4.1mm took a couple of snaps.
Fog and some smoke near the surface and a very unstable looking sky above it and Mount Macedon, particularly for 730am in May!
Rainy night coming up. Messy slow moving system. The upper trough will soon cut off and the low will head towards Brisbane. As that happens the upslide intensifies and then goes southeasterly so west central should be quite a focus. There is a very strong topographic enhancement with this, so would not be surprised if spots in the foothills topped out over 50mm and perhaps approach the ton.
Thick fog and and rain here atm. 5.6mm so far today adding to the 6.4mm overnight.
Beautiful photos Mike. I do like this time of year and the changing landscape.
10.8mm here this evening. It added up quite quickly with a mixture of thick drizzle and heavier showers. Decent rain band approaching on the radar which looks set to move across Melbourne.

Now i know how western suburbs people feel when they see all the rain happening only in the eastern suburbs.
Yep it's nice for those out east to experience our sad existence once in a while.
What a great system for us out here in the west! This is the break we have been waiting for & will set us up nicely for winter.
33mm here, 41mm at Laverton the top score.
Caroline Springs, Melbourne's meteorological boredom zone.
Great system for west central and now spinning up into north central. Probably the best system since this time last year.
Just over 20mm in Ferny Creek for us. Never going to get the best of it but happy with that. Scored 6.4mm on Sunday, so event is a handy 27mm rounded. No complaints.
It's quite unstable so should see some further showers and perhaps even the odd rumble through today.
