I got 40mm here in Box Hill, which is about 10mm more than I predicted at the start of the thread. It’s lovely to have that drenching overnight rain hitting the roof and windows as you’re sleeping.

Also got one crack of thunder this morning.

10mm more in the gauge post 9am so cracked the 50mm (total is 52mm). Great fall. Not enough to cause problems, but deep soaking which will keep it nice and damp now for the rest of spring (unless November is a shocker). Went for a walk in the local national park and lots of water in the seeps and creeks :D

Min of 9.0 and max of 9.0C, both occurring at 9am. It got colder for most of the day, with a brief spike to 8.5C about 4pm. Somehow the AWS popped up to 10C, though it sits in a sunny north facing spot and is prone to pop up in bright sunshine.

I never liked the Ferny Creek AWS. The climate is a tad different to the true Mount Dandenong. Especially the wind obs

41mm here most falling in about 10 hours of non stop rain :D :D
So wet now dont need anymore rain just water everywere in parks and wetlands locally overflowing mini lakes etc grounds so damp.

20-50mm right across the Metro area and almost the wettest part of the state bar some isol falls in the NE, near 10 hours of non stop rain here overnight.
Gotta be happy with that we all just had to hang on think its always easy and fun to be negative some times

Cold today and even COLDER tomorrow like mid winter :o :o

Then upper low hangs over western NSW for much of the week so showers and clouds with Se winds much of the week gusty at times.
Showers and thunderstroms around the state for much of the weak isol and hit and miss mostly.

ANOTHER big low and rain and storm event next week how can you NOT LOVE La Nina.
Though looking forward to more strom outbreaks in Nov and Dec with more heat and moisture around.
The Monnson lows, tropical plunge and TCs Jan through April :D :D

Over 80mm for the Month and near 900mm YTD crazy wet
Bring on the heat and stroms

70mm MTD here. Has anyone else noticed we've been having weekly rain events? Usually a Friday-Saturday...

Intriguingly, the creek in our gully is just a small trickle.

Fresh morning out there 🥶3C with a gusty southerly. Picked up another 2mm overnight.

Bit of snow in the alps, though not a lot of moisture with the cold air. Looking at temps snow line is probably around 800m, so flurries not out of the question around Macedon, above Trentham etc. not unusual to see October snow, but still alway nice to see (we had a notable fall in October 2006 in the Dandenongs, and a couple of lighter falls in 2002).

Another 3.7mm since lunchtime yesterday, half of that yesterday afternoon and the other half between midnight and now. Dropped to 2.8c as well. Currently very windy, spitty drops and 5 degrees.

Quite a strong wind here this morning. The sun has come out to send the temp up to 8.5c, but it’s mostly been sitting around 6c this morning. 1mm overnight with a few showers and drizzle.

Worth noting that proper snow fell here for a few minutes around 9am this morning (as in windblown flakes). Didn't settle of course, but wasn't expecting that! Temp at the time was 2-3C on the car thermometer.

Cold, showery and windy afternoon, so a wintry day all up!

Seems a fair amount of Tree damage around,
Odd wind. Not high numbers for the fallings.
Be interesting to see what daylight brings, no power.
Glad it's spring and this isn't summer wind.

Two Max’s of 9C. Feels especially cold after a few milder humid days.

Messy week of weather coming up with easterlies dominating. Heavy falls in the east, and to our north. Dredges for rest of Vic, with showers a chance most arvos.

4C and windy here, fits with a good cover of snow at Baw Baw and in the Snowys on the cams this morning.

Another 4mm in the gauge brings us to 94mm mtd, well above our 78mm October average.

A 1mm overnight. But I'm not emptying gauge as it's occupied by a great big huntsmen :spider:

Probably not much in the coming week.

The crops are in the main are looking sensational around here.

Some strong SE winds playing havoc in the outer east with plenty of trees down in Mt Evelyn yesterday and around Kilsyth, Montrose, Boronia, FTG today, including a large tree that fell on my sister-in-law's chook shed about 11.30 last night :? Luckily the chooks were roosting as the tree missed their perch and hit the feeding area!

Down the bay (in temporary accomodation) the wind is fresh but feels relatively mild in the sun.
