Rain setting in here now, it was nice and wet in Ballarat while out doing the shopping and it followed me home.
Non event here in Truganina, west of CBD. Any heavy rain expected tonight?
It's a bloody amazing rain band - even now (nearly 6pm) it goes back to west of Port Lincoln in SA and east beyond the Prom. If you get less than 10mm by tomorrow midday, you'd be entitled to feel a bit ripped off!

Despite the impressive skies I captured - we are yet to trouble the scorer!

Still nothing. Looking at the satpic we might end up with 0 this weekend.
You will get it early tomorrow. The upper trough is still still west of Mt Gambier. Not big falls, but perhaps north of 10mm with a bit of luck.
Had just shy of 6mm here today. Expecting a wet night with at least another 25mm. The upper trough pushes through tomorrow morning and will have a band of moderate to heavy rain.
The system is just slow moving, so no cause for concern. Great falls to our south and southwest.

My concern is that by the time the trough arrives here, it'll be exhausted of moisture.
17mm in the gauge, and 20mm for the event. Not bad, but not great. Was expecting at least 30mm.
Fantastic falls through the west, but fizzed out east. Was always going to produce strong gradients and in the end it sat about 50km south of what I expected.
Pretty good result here, 25.8mm's in the 24 hours to 9am, 26.2mm's at Ballarat Airport.
My system total is 29.4mm's - MTD now 33.4mm's. Pretty much back on track for September
