A brief but nasty bit of weather for particular coastal regions and bayside tomorrow with a cold front approaching western Victoria tonight to cross the State on Monday as an associated low pressure system moves eastwards across Bass Strait.
The position of low and associated winds could whip up some serious storm surge with the coastal high tide in the late arvo :)

Managed to split the showers up here today so just a trace. Showers should now thicken overnight.

Btw some moderate to heavy falls showing up to the south of here from around Lang Lang south. Area has been under a couple training bands with locally more than 20mm. Has split the gauge network, but lots of private gauges down there.

2.5mm here today to add to 1mm overnight.

EC this evening jumped up again for us to 25mm tomorrow! Quite a change from 5mm two days ago... A real model rollercoaster this one. Looks bitterly cold too. 6C now and falling.

Weather closely following the calendar with a cold and rainy one out there this morning. Nearly 7mm here so far, and looks like raining for much of the day. This low is very slow moving, and will have an area of heavy showers develop on its northwest side which will be very slow to push through. Progs tending to focus this through north central/east central and the northeast. Given it’s slow movement expect solid falls but if you are outside of the focus will drop off quickly.

Snow levels are headed for around 700m for later today. EC has a couple of cms at Trentham, but looks a touch too warm for the Dandenongs.

No trees down here, so a positive.
Lots of puddles
Can't complain having these conditions on a Monday after such a nice weekend,
Windows open fresh air, yesterday morning was a treat..

10.5mm to 9am, so a good start to June. Nasty day out with horizontal drizzle and just 4C.

So far, the wind is blowing hard but nothing like as bad as Saturday night - hoping it stays that way!

6.8mm overnight here. Some fairly strong winds overnight too and it's still windy of course, but not quite as strong at the moment. Currently 7.7c. Looks like further west and north in the central ranges will do fairly well during the course of today.

That's exciting Gordon. Hopefully with a bit of luck you'll get a proper snow fall at some point today.

Hard to say Snowfall. We may have an impressively low max, having not gone above 4C since 9 am, but haven't dipped below 3C either.

I reckon the 800m plus terrain between Daylesford and Blue Mountain will be copping a pasting though, with the near constant stream of rain/ showers affecting us tracking over that area. I'd go for a snow chase, but a bit too much on!

Turning into a miserable winter day up here in the Nongs. Currently 5.4C, foggy and spitty rain. 15mm in the gauge now. Personal AWS suggests we should get some snow, but doubt it (likely to stay a degree or two too warm).

Decent area of rain building to our southwest ATM on the "wind change".

Miserable alright, glad our sheep have a shed to retreat to! It's been like twilight all day.

Another 6.5mm since 9am, so 17mm since it started last night. EC might be right after all!
