Start the Arks up, youre all going to drown according to the herald sun...

"Bureau Of Meteorology senior forecaster Keris Arndt said heavy rainfall lashing the coast of NSW was expected to hit Victoria on Monday.

“The really heavy stuff will be on the border but some will slip over into Victoria overnight,’’ he said.

“The big falls, exceeding 600m, will be east of Orbost mostly in mountain areas.’’

The Herald Sun is such a terrible paper...
Anyway the humidity has suddenly jump, feeling rather tropical out there.

Where have they got 600mm from? Surely they mean 60mm (which looks possible, if not likely judging by the radar).

Wish this wind would f off. Been going for 2 days now.

Still looks pretty active this coming week.

Same here. I just returned from the island & the wind down there was shocking.

Sustained speed of 30 to 40km/h down here yesterday and today. My weather station recorded a gust of 58km/h with several between 50 and 58, however my hand held Kestrel managed to clock up 76.5km/h top of the hill.

Easterly winds are the winds i hate the most

It's actually begun to spit here...

I wonder if anything substantial will make it over the range?

How jealous of Sydney can I be?

Yep, the whole city is basically 200mm since 9am, you read that correctly (only a little bit exaggerating)

Only just a tiny drop of rain from initial rain-band. Too much shadowing here in an Easterly.

Sydney knows how to have big daily rainfall totals.

2mm here. Thankfully the wind has died down.

Incredible rain totals up in NSW. A lot of spots around 300-400mm over the past few days. Seems to be one extreme to the next.

Just 3mls here, although our nearest BOM station recorded 4.3mls. This often happens here. Yes relieved the wind has eased off considerably.Twigs and branches a daily clean up. My kindling supply is adequate for the coming winter thank you. :)

4.5mm overnight at Mt Macedon. It has been dead calm for the last three days. None of the wind made it to my place.

Huge totals for the NSW rain event. Over 450mm at Dapto near Wollongong.
Over 500mm at Katoomba and just over 700mm at Robertson in the Southern Highlands. Crazy.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m

put those fires out.
Currently here its a cloudy 22/16
Ballarat Airport scored 0.0mm's overnight.

3mm here overnight and been trying to rain all day with serious humidity, but just not making it.

Astonishing event up north. Probably to three in the past fifty years on much of the coast. They really need that rain, though perhaps over four months rather than four days. This stuck easterly pattern looks like it could have another seven to ten days to run, and a possible TC onto the east coast :o

very boring weather here, just spits of rain and humid again. I'm out to water the garden soon!

I am wondering when Melbourne will see any sort of storm action, each time its been on the cards its gone around us or vanishes quickly from the forecasts.

Still yet to actually have a proper storm here this season, or a night time lighting event!, as said before these were the norm in the past, now very rare.
