Torrential burst just pushed us over 27mm here. That puts our MTD to date at 90mm. About 30mm to get to the monthly average. Looks like another 10-20mm to come tonight looking at the radar and EC meteogram, so should push close to the average by tomorrow morning
The SAM has dived into strongly negative territory as the strong sudden stratospheric warming reaches the surface. This is the kind of weather that was once common, but has become less so as positive SAM has increasingly dominated our weather. Wierd times indeed, and particularly that we have a very strong positive IOD
