3mm overnight so an even 20mm for the event, which is more than I was expecting.

A bit over the wind though! A neighbour and I were discussing that this spring has been one of the worst we can recall for wind (though we have absolutely no stats to back that up!)

Been crazy winds down here in Walkerville also. Gales with some huge gusts with the coldies. Had 7mm with a number of hail showers thrown in.

Just light stuff back in the Dandenongs.

EC not too interested now for the next 24 hours away from the coast. The airmass is just too dry.

Btw looking hot now for midweek. EC suggests we could see temps spike into the low to mid 30s in central Vic. Be interesting to see if it holds :o

Would you believe that it just started snowing here?

3mm's up to 9am here and none since then. MTD 30.4mm's (ave 66mm's ) so looking like a 2nd below average month.

I would believe - quite sleety here in the middle of the coldest coldies. Another 4mm so 24mm for the dates. Handy!

2mm in FC for the last 24 hours (and about 10mm at Walkerville). Mainly a coastal system as expected. Foggy here atm with the odd spit, but that looks like about it.

Just tallied the event and we are on 30mm, and MTD about 70mm. Good buffer with a spring stinker or two this coming week.

New thread time. Vic could well see a 40C on Thursday, and western burbs of Melbourne spike to around 35C. Lucky we’ve had ok rain as it’s going to be hot, dry and gusty one.

Mildura forecast for Thursday now upgraded to 38 degrees by the BOM. What is the record October temperature for Victoria?

Mildura has had 40c a couple of times in October - 1925 & 2004.

40.2c to be specific. I think it's the very last town in Victoria I'd want to live in (no offence to Mildurans ha).

Looking forward to our first 30+ though my lawn is already browning, but that's an IOD+ for you :(

I only got around 5mm the other day, so I hope Friday delivers. Very poor year so far. Wish I had even just a smidgen of elevation.

That 40.2C looks very low given our climate (nowadays). EC is painting maxima near 39C, so a random spike could put that one at risk. Wouldn't expect it to fall, but it could.
