Finally a bit of weather showing up with a deepening trough Friday into Saturday, then another trough on Sunday with a strong front for Monday. Best will be about the eastern ranges, but the whole state should get a bit. Models have been a bit jumpy, but looks like 5-20mm most southern and mountain areas, with much better falls in the northeast.
Instability indices look good for Friday and Saturday, though poorer moisture will edge down from the northwest.
Strong front for Sunday night, with snow about the peaks for Monday. It’s a bit westerly for heavy falls away from the coast, but stills look ok.
Some showers starting to build in northcentral which will move south and east overnight.
Thick fog up here, but again still no proper rain Good storms out east and been the odd light shower in central Vic. Unstable today, but mainly focused on the east. Similar tomorrow. Warm to hot and humid, still feeling more like mid summer than mid autumn.
Big storm just exploded over the middle burbs of Melbourne. Went through it on the train - raindrops the size of "soggy" golf balls. Nice convergence zone supporting this, so hopefully it continues to grow.

That cell currently has passed -60c on the cloud tops
Nasty looking storm in the north east suburbs. A few good falls in the area around here, but pretty much missed us. Still managed 1.3mm and some good rumbles.
