It’s moving very quickly on the radar, but a few rumbles of thunder here and gusty winds. Some big rain drops too. Still waiting for it to rain properly though.

Just had the biggest bolt of lightning wake up the entire house, CG within 100m. Jeepers.
Edit : Lightning map confirms this 100m, but I'm almost sure it was closer. Never had the whole room light up and bang at the same time with that much energy to wake us all up!

Yes, there was rapid development just to the west of Melbourne on the radar. Bucketing down here now. Haven’t had any lightning locally, but rumbles occurring in the distance.

Some loud thunder here and about 10 mins of heavy rain here, I love waking up to a thunderstorm.

James.. the timing was just a bit behind
As those bangs had someone in this house screaming twice.
Great rains..

12.2mm here - nice drop but only a few distant rumbles and flashes. That live lightning site is epic!

4.5mm in the gauge. We had big wind gusts around midnight (40 Kts at AWS) that woke us up, and most of the rain fell around 4:30 am.
Nice and cool today - very pleasant after yesterday.

You can also zoom in on blitzortung by clicking on 'Real time Maps' > dynamic size then it will bring up the current active strike zones across the globe which you can zoom down on. I use both but find blitzortung gets more strikes for some reason.
