Looking at the radar, you're looking good for some snow cover by morning it seems.

Flow gone more southerly so precipitation should now penetrate through the metro area and beyond
Nothing here. Cold enough but bright and sunny. -0.1C this morning.

Maybe time for a new thread just to make it manageable?

No snow here either, cold enough but no precip. Showers that looked like they might make it here must've faded away. Nothing to add to 3.5mm when I went to bed.

After closer inspection on my morning garden walk i see that most of the frost was actually snow. Not worthy of being called a snowfall if one has to take a magnifying glass to view it!
The fact that there is no snow hasnt put off all the snow tourists. The road outside my place is very busy this morning. Noisy and annoying.

YTD even lower than last year, and by a wide margin. Hoping for a turnaround :-|
How much rain you get this morning? I drove to Carrum Downs about 8am where it didn't seem that wet, and then back at Cranbourne West it was still coming down pretty hard.
Got about 3-4mm. About 12mm all up. Such a crap result. Now it's sunny and I have clothes on the line.

Drizzly rain moved in here with the warming temperatures. Popped up to 8C this arvo.

Gfs and EC have a ripper cold outbreak next weekend. 850Ts below -4C and a more southerly system so more showers. Few days odd so not excited yet, but does look promising.

A drizzly and foggy night with 3mm in the gauge. Makes for (about) 23mm for the weekend so a good kicker for the August total.

Milder air moving wrapping in under the incoming high so not that cold.

Another week of fronts and then a cold outbreak coming up. Time for the next thread (just started :D ).

BTW didn't seem to get much coverage but a nasty fire in East Gippsland. Link below. Photo below is probably the most dramatic

The region is running near record dry (depending on the timescale you look at) :(

2mm more here today. Look like the systems winding up, and now a milder day with winds increasing ahead of the next sequence. Our MTD is near 50mm so running about average or a little above :D
