It got stage fright as it approached and went over the Dandenongs. 0.5mm a lot of wind and that's all folks. Should have gone to bed and not watched it. Interesting pattern of the fronts weakening as they head east over Vic so far in the sequence.

Front went missing here  with 1mm. Total for event now about 16mm.

Showers today, but mainly nearer the coast and northeast ranges.

GFS backed off on the cold for the weekend and now more inline with EC. Weekend now looks cold, wet and windy (particularly late Saturday into late Sunday), but I’m struggling to see it get cold for much icy excitement outside of the alpine areas. Macedon and Trentham should be high enough. Thinking 25-50mm precip wise here for the weekend, though the window for the heaviest showers is a bit narrow with Saturday too westerly then late Sunday going southerly.

Not much rain from that front last night but there were a few trees down in Mount Evelyn this morning blocking roads. Firewood collection day tomorrow I think.

Another 7mm here, so adding up slowly - now 20mm for the dates.

Drove through an absolute deluge around Melton/ Rockbank (of all places) coming home from Melbourne last night - heaviest rain I've seen since summer's thunderstorms. Amazed then to hear the Dandenongs missed out!

Not much in the last lot here but quite windy on the squall line last night. 30mm now since Monday.

Fujiwhara effect still in progress with a 2nd circulation centre spinning just south of Tassie. Models only had 1 at this point. Obs in Tassie dropped to around 987 hPa but have moved slightly higher as the 2nd circulation moves SE. Watching with interest as its position will determine where in Vic the weekend's cold pulses will hit.

Daylight revealing 2nd low circulation on the 8am sat pic

26mm so far this week. That'll just be about it I reckon. Might crack 30mm if we cop a coldie or two in the next 2 days.

Nothing spectacular in my view. Mainly dry with a few showers and cold wind. Maximums nothing unusual and 12 isn't all that much colder than 14. I miss the good ol' frequent cold showers with graupel and soft hail mixed in. Been at least 4 or 5 years now.
