Mid-levels just exploded here in essendon. Starting to look interesting although as others have said the focus is non existent and all storms rather diffuse. Fingers crossed. Still feel some places are going to cop it locally.

A bit surprised at the very reserved forecast for tomorrow regarding storms, looking like a forecast of scattered storms would be more appropriate. GFS still going for a multicell cluster hugging the seabreeze with some biggish falls around.

1 mm and a few rumbles. At least that proves it can still rain here :).

Plenty of lightning and thunder now, and rain has started.

That storm near the Bay is now very lightning active. Almost non stop flashes to me South. Mean and slow moving. Going to be some decent falls under it.

Temp and DP are 22 and 19C here currently so feel like I’ve landed in the Byron hinterland. Just hoping for one of their storms ;)

9mm so far snowfall but it's very localised, some place will be 20mm + for sure. As Sean mentioned, it split near here but then reformed....The cell on the cloud tops is now from Seymour to the north western burbs in Metro, -55c in its sweet spot. That cell that was down near Dane has turned a little angry :)

A decent fall there Jasmine. It’s fairly scrappy here at the moment. Almost constant lightning and thunder, but struggling to rain. Only 0.6m so far. Still, it’s great watching the sky continuously light up. Looks like Lancefield east of Macedon will be getting a heavy drenching.

We're literally right in a hole here on the radar, but have lightning surrounding us 360 degrees. I haven't seen lightning this frequent for probably close to 10 years, it's really intense up here!

Beautiful storm action here in Lancefield, but it really looked as if it intensified over Romsey about 7-8km to our south. Probably one of the best storms I've experienced in terms of lightning and thunder though. Rain wasn't as intense as I was expecting, but It was a good drink nonetheless! Very happy. :)

I’m getting flashes and rumbles here from multiple directions. Wierd as there isn’t a lot on the radar. Either it’s travelling a long long way or it’s cranking up a gear.

More storms are firing up almost too fast for the radar but there showing up now.
Could be an interesting night.
