Hurricane like conditions down here in Walkerville. Wind easily topping 100km/hr and rain in sheets. A few trees down in the town. Front looks like it is soon to push through. Hogan Island to my south has been gusting to nearly 150km/hr (the Prom into the low 100's).

Light rain again here, everything is saturated. But happy for the farmers in enjoying some great soil moisture for the coming months.

Just ticked up to 100mm month-to-date, not bad considering the date. :D
Year-to-date 383mm, checked earlier it was the end of July last year that I recorded same total.

1.3mm here today and just over 90mm MTD. The wind became progressively calmer as the day went on, thankfully. Looks like a few cool and cloudy days coming up, maybe with the odd shower about.

Further 14mm in the Nongs today and 13mm down here at Walkerville. In FC that puts us in about 140mm MTD and over 600mm for the year :D Running ahead of any other month in at least 80 years (the records get patchy before that and have to jump between stations).

Down here in Walkerville had about 60mm in the past two days. Now lots of water lying in the paddocks, which is something almost unheard of in recent autumns.

Looks like another 24 hours of showery conditions then clearing for a day or three.

Another 6mm here; nothing like some of the other totals but our 64mm mtd is well above our April average, and way ahead of ytd average.

So on the back of our great 2019, I'm very happy with that :).

This event just keeps giving. Nearly 5mm more in the gauge :D

Cold one this morning with a min of 6C.

Starting to clear for a few milder days ahead before another system for late in the week.

Another mm in the gauge this morning. MTD is about 145mm (unfortunately my AWS missed about 10mm on Sunday with a stick stuck in the funnel :( so will have to back out the number for Sunday from our nearby AWS).

YTD somewhere around 640mm which is a record (though 1935 had 850mm by end of April so will fall off record pace soon). Looking around central Vic, Melbourne Ap and Scoresby are running record YTD. Laverton and Moorabbin are off record pace. Melbourne city a bit messy with the site change.

Next system showing up for the weekend, but doesn't look that wet (but is quite cold).

Overcast and cool today, just 12.5c as a max and currently 9c. 0.6mm overnight with a bit of drizzle.

We’re currently more than 200mm above average for YTD rainfall. Not sure if that’s a record, as historical data for this area is patchy, but it’s certainly a welcome boost for 2020. Only wish this could be the pattern every year!

Woke up to fog and drizzle this morning. Must have been quite persistent overnight, as it gave another 5mm to add to the month’s total. Looks like maybe a few more mm to come this weekend and another brief colder burst.

So MELBOURNE Olympic Park recorded 7 consecutive days with 1mm or more rain!

Hasn’t happened for more than a year - does anyone know when we last did that?

In the past winter we had a run of some rain for about 10 days in a row, but not over 1mm each day.
