STW issued for those storms through the Mallee and Wimmera.

Latest GFS wants to give us 50mm plus :o EC has us down for about 25mm. Even in the EC case, that would bring us almost to our monthly average.

Just got 5mm with that "blob". More at airport AWS.

EC reckons 30mm this evening...

P.S. That new Rainbow radar is brilliant.

Last nice warm sunny day for like a week maybe more nice out there atm :D

Bang on 50mm here yesterday and likely another 30-50mm over the next 48 hours or so, very wet few days and first few months of 2020 this is just the begining.

Big stroms in W Vic atm and really nice rain band in SA atm both will only just increase and pick up in the coming hours and over night to be widespread rain and storms. Wet and wild night tonight with lots of thunderstorms gusty winds and heavy bursts of rain.
Cold, Wet and Windy over the weekend with widespread showers, local hail and thunder, gales and snow in the hills will be like mid winter.
NW Vic will miss out but everyone else should do well

10-30mm for most of the state bar the NW where they 1-5mm
30-60mm for South and Mountion areas up to 80mm in the NE and Otways and West and south Gippy and hills east of Melb

BIG 48 hours ahead enjoy all you winter lovers
Bring on the heat and stroms

Why is the lightning only happening in the same area but dying before it hits the metro area?

Yeah. It's not over yet. We've got a river happening in the Gully over the back fence.

Unbelievable! So that's 70-odd mm for the dates for you at least?

Hardly a drop here so far today, though we are now in the middle of the STW area, so could change quickly.

3mm here so far. Taking a bit to get going, but the rain seems to be progressively getting heavier. Windy too.

Amazing totals up there around Bendigo.

Radar looking very good :D Gonna be a wet and stormy night. Pressure is falling fast and now down to 996hPa here.

Expecting 30mm or more in the gauge by morning. Was out in the forest today and things are very damp but no surface water and seeps are still yet to get flowing at ground should take that pretty easy :D Might start to see local flooding if we top 50mm around here.
