4.5mm overnight. And yet nothing just a few km to our North. Got lucky.

Sunny morning now.

November has had some ripping cold outbreaks over the years. 2006 and 2007, along with 1998 from memory.

I have seen some light snow in November at my place, it would have been back around the mid-2000's.
It is 4.5C now but rising not falling.
Around 14mm since yesterday afternoon. The bom clickable rainfall doesnt seem to be working in our area at the mo.

18.5mm here, 60.5mm mtd. November average 80.9mm so we're well on the way.

Btw I'm just back from the Grampians where Mt William has had nearly 50mm for the dates!

Right I'm over this now.

It's November.. gimme some sun!

Wind, rain and hall off and on all day. Freezing. Had to break out the 3/4 wetty in November. Not that stoked about it either

We can thank the SSW event back in August / September for pushing back the fire season in parts of SA and all of Vic / Tas. The same event that is scorching NSW though :o

9.1C here for a max today with 4mm more rain. Got hail and graupel a couple of times, briefly heavy. Ripper winters day (3 months late :P ).

Looks like a damp night - we often do better at night here in swly flow in spring when the convection switches from favouring the land to favouring the bay.

This weather is not that remarkable in terms of temperatures. We had a solid settling snow here at the end of October 2002, and it snowed in the Nong in early December 2002 and on Christmas Day 2006. I’d guess snow here in November or December used to be about a once every 3-5 years event, but doesn’t happen much now.

Just got a cracking coldie. Started with hail, then graupel, then snow flurries. Not a lot of snow, but a series of fluffy flurries :P

Temperature here is now down to 2.9C.

Got the same hail storm here - ground is white and the cat howling at the loud noise of it on the roof and hitting the windows. Feels like mid winter here amazing.

No, let it continue! As much rain as possible before the hot months of summer please :)

The cooler days will mean whatever we do get will go further. Really been enjoying this weather the last few days, though I do work inside which helps

Ha, so I’m not the only one who thinks like this :D I do wish - however - that we could throw in some muggy stormy days as well.

Cold wet windy day night here with a few more hail showers. 14mm in the gauge for the past 24hours. Our temperature bottomed at 2.2C which would put the free air snowline briefly to about 600m or a tad lower. I only saw a couple of flurries here, but would guess quite a solid fall around about 800m. Event is up to 48mm and MTD 110mm. Just 8mm to the average.

Btw, historically significant cold. Minimum at Mount Hotham of -6.3C which looks to be the fourth lowest minimum for November in Vic. That said, the alpine observations don’t go back too far so they miss lots of big cold spells from the more distant past. Still, the headline numbers suggest cold this sharp is perhaps a once every few years event :o
