We had some thunder this morning. But just a few drops of rain.

It looks like we'll be on the boundary between rain and nothing in the next week.

Light rain here at home from about 3.30am.

Was bucketing down on the way to Lorne early this morning until about Lara then dried up.

Stayed dry down on the Surf Coast for a while then rained all through the Otways during the big ride. Sun popped out just before Apollo Bay for a stunning ride along the coast back to Lorne.

Wierd day here with rain, sun, rain, sun and now heavy rain. Clocked up 8mm so far. Quite mild when the sun was out, but chilly when it clouded over.

Looks like a wet night. Should get at least 20mm more if the progs are correct :D

22C in the city today which is about 5C above average. Quite toastie near the Murray with 32C at Mildura which is getting up there for the time of year. This is pretty typically spring weather. Just wishing for a few more storms :D

Driving to Queensland later this week (always liked a road trip when there’s no rush). Hoping they get some rain before we get there (which looks promising at least to about Byron).

Hoped we'd get two mild days in a row but not to be - forecast top of 17C; only made it to 14C. Cool, windy day with a few showers, culminating in some thundery rain later.

Top of 8C forecast tomorrow with a minimum of -1C! Spring just can't quite get here, not for more than a day at least.

Adding up nicely here. Up to 13mm for today now. These nwly unstable set ups usually deliver well for us in the southern Dandenongs.

Rain out west continues to thicken up so plenty more to come.

Over 20mm down bottom of hill,
Seems over 30mm on top of my hill.
Must get WS.. No complaints on the wetness side.
Besides that the explosions early evening weren't thunder.
Presuming twits mixing chemicals. ?

It's good to see a system deliver far more than the forecast models. EC last night had just 2mm for us this morning. Thus far 8mm and still raining!

Oh. We heard a bang. Maybe that was it :o Odd noise.

Very healthy 33mm in the gauge here, 36mm for the event. Shower or two to come. Thick thick fog up here now. Classic Dandenongs system with the rain heaviest in the southern part of the range where the hills jut out to the west and force a bit more lift.

Rain a bit of a mixed bag with peak falls near 40mm in the upper Yarra, but the north yet to see any :?:

Few nice days ahead, and quite warm. Should see a couple of days around 25C on the flats, before another decent front.

7.8mm here for the event so far. The main rainband yesterday evening - despite its looks on radar - delivered 0.4mm here!

The rainband is very slow moving. Ended up with 9mm.

Looks like quite a strong cold front later this week. Potentially more good falls and snow on Alps by Saturday.

Yep, about 105mm. Will add up tonight to confirm. Our average is about 120mm for September, so not far off that.

I've not seen weather like this for years. We are on track for our fifth month in a row above average. In previous positive IODs we've often seen below average nearly every month. Seems we are just south enough to be catching all the fronts, which are missing areas only a few hundred kms north.

Exactly 19mm for the event here as well! Just a touch over 12mm overnight. It was a mild weekend - about 18c on both Saturday and Sunday - but currently 7c.
