Many fronts from the south to come on the forecast. That is a strong high, but forecast says it will weaken and weaken from the constant low pressure. Something big looks to be brewing for the end of july with this surge from the south. Hoping the highs stay out west more...

This was part of a post I put up yesterday in the Climate Driver thread:

"....But another stratospheric warming event is happening over Antarctica between Africa and OZ:

An end of month polar blast is looking likely atm IMHO."

 Sticking my nose back in here after a very long, and busy, time.

Loving the fronts! Small hail and thunder yesterday, max temp of 10.2C, only 3.2mm.

21 mm here for the week mostly early on.
In to the crappy stuff now cold, cloudy but not much rain, need to
get rid of this and bring a rain producing front in.
This stuff is good if you are in the right spots.

Your link is not working Djman, hopefully it will show something better coming.
Cheers Chris

Another 4.5mm here so 35mm for the dates. Top of 5C yesterday and same temp now, complete with non-stop wind.

26.6mm down here for the event (as per the dates of this thread). A bit more to come today and probably double that during the coming week.

By the way, a quick question for the moderators of this forum; i can't see the location of people on the mobile certain of this site. Is there a fix for that by any chance?

25mm for the thread so far. Fairly reasonable considering the west to SW flow.

Nice snow reports from Mt Donna crew. I also see Hotham and Falls over 60cm and Buller 40cm .

Welcome back :)

Perfect winter day in the Dandenongs. Fog and non-stop drizzle, with occasional bursts of heavier rain. 10mm so far :D Max of 6C. Sat inside with the fire roaring and a toastie 22C (8 Star build makes it the warmest house I’ve lived in :P ).

Radar looks very promising with the front yet to push through. EC has another 10mm here overnight which looks pretty good.

Showery til about Thursday or Friday. Hopefully be close to 100mm by the end of the week (currently just a bit below 60mm). Getting damp enough now to get some decent runoff so chance to give the creeks a flush etc.

It's a real yawn fest out here in the western boredom zone compared to the other side of the bay. Absolutely nothing happening here other than more bloody wind! :x

Meanwhile the rain just keeps on falling down at the other place on the island. It's been a superb system down that way. :D

Max of 10c here today. Just 0.6mm with a couple of showers. 21mm for the event so far, which is not too bad considering it was always going to favour areas further east. Looks like the eastern suburbs are in for quite a wet night judging by the radar.

The updated SWW for Vic forecasts blizzards with some heavy snow accumulations in Alpine areas overnight. Large parts of Gippsland above 1000 m would be favoured with this frontal set up. Will be interested in Mt Baw Baw's snow report in the morning.

Greetings to AWF folks, nice to see some familiar faces here, :)

Sale has done well from the fronts, 35mm over last week or so, 29mm of that since late Friday night (12/07).

Max yesterday (Sat) of 8.4C and today a windy one, with low 40s to low 50kph all day, gusting to 93kph around 1500
at East Sale BOM.

Wilsons Prom and Hogan Island, 148 and 150kph.

Snow - saw our Mt WELLINGTON 1634M last week, it had undergone a large snow melt after the best cover for
several years. The weekends sure to have topped it up again and the rest of next week will add to it.

The constant drizzle and damp is doing my head in. That’s July I guess.
