It's taking an eternity to get here. Maybe something before sunrise?

Good to see some big totals out West though.

Meanwhile, pleasantly surprised how well we've done given rain-shadowing probs we often have with systems from the north (we are about 15km south of the Divide). I think HB mentioned earlier that NW rain is worst for this; directly from the N may be better?
Yep, NW flow tends to be worst for rainshadowing. That’s at last party because it often means the upslide is weak so there isn’t the same synoptic forcing to maintain rain once the flow goes over the divide.

Up to 0.2mm in FC. Not confident. We should see 25mm by late Saturday, but always looked like an event for the west/northcentral and northeast.

I am trending a more optimistic outlook HB
Me thinks some central areas will do quite well
Winds are not overly strong and as we know these systems are not picked up very well at all by most models and 9/10 surprise

Just had a storm, but very short-lived. I hope that's not the end of it. Seems to be all thinning out?

About 4mm in FC now so off the mark :D . Radar looks ok, but messy and things popping up and down so hard to read. About 10mm just to our west, so few better falls in the eastern burbs.

Stawell 68.6
But Horsham only 14.2
Going to be some dangerous roads for trucks around there.

Cracked the old inch here in Lara. Had two short lived downpours overnight that delivered the extra 10mm. Better than expected so I’m happy.

Frustrating day yesterday with zero mm, but great to see some larger totals where it's needed more than my parched back garden :)

Off the mark overnight with 7.6mm so far (local AWS) including a short spell of heavy rain just on 6am.

34mm for the event so far at Mt Macedon.
By far the best fall since mid december and finally my ytd is over 100mm.
Timely as well because the CFA lifted fire restrictions here yesterday and the mountain erupted with people setting fire to burn piles as they always do.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m

Nice Macedonian. Good to see Tassie getting some. Another 20.5mm overnight brings us to 55mm. Many similar totals locally & up to 72mm.

Totals around here are all over the shop. Everything from 10 to 40mm since midnight. We're on the low end...

Hoping for some more but not confident.

36mm so far here. Plenty of totals close by over 50mm. Nice drop there Gordon.

Some good CG's and booms overnight. The front and associated trough is crawling through with the twin surface lows below S.A almost stationary. More light rain incoming soon from the NW.

Had another big hit about 1am, with a further 25mm in about 15 mins. Totals here at 54mm, most of which fell in less than 25 mins. Very intense.

5mm overnight, so like HB finally off the mark.
Unfortunately once again we are at the extreme lower end of the rainfall totals.

Just been looking at some photos from the tornado that went through Lake Purrumbete Holiday Park (near Camperdown, SW Victoria) around midnight last night, two injuries reported, gas leaks, lots of trees down etc - hope everyone is ok.

Thunderstorms in the early houirs of this morning gave most of Ballarat a good drenching.
Falls generally ranged from around 20mm's near the Airport (to the North) to over 30mm's
down south around Buninyong.
Airport got 19.2mm's in the 24 hours to 9am MTD now 27.6mm's.
I got 27.4mm's In Sebastopol MTD now 35.8mm's.
So already the wettest month of the year, lets hope we can get some good follow up soon. :D
