It was rumbling to the west of here not long ago. Embedded cells in the band that spark up and decay quite quickly.

Moderate to heavy rain here. I haven't heard any thunder yet. Some intense areas on the back edge of the front, where I imagine there may be some lightning about. 6.8mm here so far.

Just some light rain now. It was quite a productive front. I was only expecting a few millimetres out of it, but we've ended up with 13.1mm so far. A wintry 7.5c now.

6mm here, now clearing. About what was expected and keeps things fresh a little longer.

Next weekend looks like 15-20mm could be in order.

Decent system to finish off the thread :)

16mm of very welcome rain, quite heavy at times. Event total is now 53mm so best event here in ages.

Hoping for follow up within the next week ;)

9mm for the day so far. 44mm for the thread, 64mm for the month so far. Just 4mm short of the monthly average for October in Kyneton. Very handy end of thread drop.

Attention is now turning to this potential water bomb late next week :|

6mm here, better than expected and a bit of a consolation prize after the miss earlier.

Some thumping coldies around this arvo, though oddly hugging the northern and northeast burbs. Got caught in one near Bayswater. Mainly missed here, though finished on 18mm so no complaints :D Thread about 55mm, and MTD just shy of 70mm. Need another 30mm or so to the monthly average, so should get there fingers crossed.

Good to see a few spots get near 20mm today including the Airport which has struggled lately.

EC going very wet for later next week, so hopefully some followup in the offering.

Picked up another 6mm from the showers this afternoon, which takes us to 19mm for the day and 40mm for the thread. Might be one or two light showers to come, but otherwise that’s it until next week’s event.

Dry here after the rain and this morning. Rather chilly though. EC keen on next weekend, GFS not yet.

I heard a Voice call out,.. 19mm Mum..
was very welcome, we are looking at more like spring ground rather than summer as it was looking last week.

A few spots yesterday, but not enough to tip the gauge. Event all wrapped up. Max of just 9C on Saturday and 15C on Sunday so quite a winters feel.

Was looking really good for follow-up, but Progs have lost interest. Pretty complex set up with a strong inland low over WA moving southeast. CMC and GFS hook it up with an approaching front and produce a big system, but UK and EC have them missing each other and the low ends up tracking though NSW. Hopefully EC is wrong... the ensembles show a fair spread, but I generally wouldn’t bet against it.
