First wet snow for the event. Flurries of slush. Not sure whether you’d technically call it sleet or snow. Temperature has now dipped to 2.9C :D The cutoff for proper snow tends to be a round 2.5C so probably snowing at tree tops here.

I might head up to Beechworth tomorrow early morning, provided any cells can make it far enough north I think it'll be cold enough for snow in town there.

Fingers crossed for a bit of the white stuff to wake up to for those in higher parts. Good luck.

Going Mt Dandenong tomorrow morning if there's precipitation about. This incoming batch now should give a proper prolonged fall.

Hopefully anyone up there can provide updates to us by morning :D

Hearing rumbles here from those cells near Philip Island :o That’s nearly 70km away. Loud slow booms. Would be about the furthersest I’ve heard thunder from (few years back did hear it from Geelong so again 70km or thereabouts).

Showers a bit feeble here currently so not action to report :(

Bucketing Snow at Donna Buang even before the turn off to go up the mountion there was snow on the ground.
Had snow covered roads about a k or so after the turn off road was covered and couldn't go past the first area were you can park snow about 3cm deep though road wasn't closed others went up.
It puked it down from 515pm to 6pm had easy 3-5cm while there car was covered and all the trees and this was still 3ks from the summit amzing heavy snow was unreal.

Amazing heavy snow best ever seen up there was unreal

Had a number of hail showers in Ash-wood during the day and also one huge crack of thunder

Classic Melb cold outbreak love it

Moving between 2.5 and 3c here, sleet and light flurries during the night. See some solid white ground cover around 700m up here.

Trough now moving off bass strait into Vic, radar could look pretty good in southern areas in the next few hours. Hopefully they can launch over the divide :)

Patchy cover of hail here with a temperature of 2.4C. Cold enough for snow, just waiting for a decent shower with snow.

Just had a couple of flakes a few minutes back, but sparse.

Looks like about 11mm last 24 hours, but the gauge is blocked with hail so will have to wait for it to melt to know :D

Booming thunder with that intense cell in SE butbs multiple flashes and bangs active cell pouring rain with some tiny hail.
What an active 2 days.

Worth the drive to Skyhigh is it? should be some fun up there but around 3c

Love to be up Donna sure they close to 30cm of snow by now.

Cold, wet and dark out there. Loving it!

First? hail shower for the event just then although I'm sure I heard some around 2.30am this morning. Very brief but it hailed.
