Melbourne now included in the SWW for heavy rainfall! EC has also upgraded its rain forecast totals with a focus on central Vic! Interesting night ahead folks. Keep the reports coming :D

0.2mm in FC now. Almost steady rain now. Thinking this ones gonna peak west of Melbourne looking across the models and radar.

Still yet to see a 50mm in the networks, but plenty of sites are getting close south of Macedon to Werribee.

A few drops here but nothing in the gauge. Down to 22 now and the radar looks promising. Welcome Lucia, good to see another local on here.

Has not let up here in Tarneit, my rain gauge has stopped reporting. Very annoying.

Two local stations have already collected around 40mm here, if there is more on the way. There will definitely be localised flooding tonight.

31.3mm now. It's just starting to stop raining now, although the radar suggests maybe a few more showers to come through soon before the main rain band arrives a little later on. Looks like there will be big totals in many central areas. The city is already up to 16mm.

Bucking here in Ashwood with the odd close boom and rumble.

20-40mm from this band with isol 50mm, then another 10-20mm with isol 30mm+ from rainband over night so lots of rain on the way.

Get excited people wet night then sunny week ahead after Wednesday.
Bring on the heat and stroms

Three rumbles here with 3mm. Starting to add up in the eastern burbs now.

Radar looks solid. Not spectacular, but should settle in now for a rainy night for most. Some embed cells will bump totals locally.

Hoping to wake up to 50mm in the gauge, but might need to settle for less. All rain this time of year is welcome to dampen down the fire season and get the vegetation through to autumn.

Most of west central will have a months worth of rain by morning :D

Big welcome to all the newbies. Great have more people reporting in the gaps :)

I think I'm gonna be left wanting more.. there's a spit down the middle that looks like it might hit the outer SE.

There's gonna be a big gap to fill when I leave here between didjman and Neil up at Cobram! If anyone from Seymour is reading the forum, don't hesitate to join, it's a fun place to discuss the weather and Seymour strikes a really interesting middle ground between the northern plains and the great divide.

On topic, we got a short spurt of heavy rain which lasted about 1 minute, currently we're in a gap between the two bands but the radar suggests things should start picking up from here on.

Still waiting for anything significant, 4mm so far. Hoping for a bit more overnight, that the gap closes in.

It's nice to get steady rain but at only 6mm so far, i guess I'm left wondering of the predicted heavy rain will make it down here.
