Bit of drizzle this morning but now clearing. Not expecting much more.

Currently sat on ~22mm. Good result.

Looks dry now for about ten days with a big forming a block with an upper trough affecting NSW and Qld.

Cloudy, cool, not a lot going on up here. Finished with 0.6mm for the event which was always on the cards north of the divide. 3.8mm for the month, 263mm for the year.

Still looking like a fairly stable week ahead with a big high parking itself in the neighbourhood until around May 18th. Longer term models keep producing a low of sorts for the period May 18th to 22nd and a potential winter monster at the start of June :) http://www.theaustralianweatherforum.co ... 45#p100345

Tropical cyclone Donna still loitering as an out of season (edit now cat 5) near New Caledonia. Quite bizarre.

This system just doesn't want to clear. Foggy and drizzly day in Ferny Creek with another 2mm. Still coming down. At this rate we may go past 25mm and could even sneak up to 30mm. All very local, with the Bay warmth coming into play with this system.

Slightly warmer day for us with a max of 9.7C.

Quite a grey day here with a few light showers giving a total of 0.6mm. Got up to 13.1c but most of the day was around 10c or less, so quite cool. Currently foggy outside and 9.5c. A little bit of drying weather over the next few days might not be so bad but hopefully we can get a stronger system to come through next week.

Squeeze out another 2mm. Event finished very close to 25mm. MTD about 40mm. We've been in fog almost continuously for three days which is pretty impressive for the time of year.

Looks like we will now see no weather for a week

Looks like a LOW will develop on Thursday's front bringing much needed rain to Tasmania Thursday into Friday.

Had 0.2mm overnight with some light drizzle and fog. A few sunny breaks today but mostly cloudy and a top of 13.4c. Doesn't look like any decent rain on the horizon for a while - will need to see what comes up next week. I see ACCESS is modelling a low developing in the bight next week, although GFS seems to have it sliding south, but it's all along way out.

GFS and ACCESS has the smallest LOW I have ever seen over us Thursday and Friday. We need rain having missed out on the last couple of events that have delivered good rain to Victoria. ACCESS hints at something mighty impressive late next week.

Quite unusual for basically all the main models (EC, GFS, Access, CMC, CFS and USNavy) to agree on a surface low in the bight so far out (next Wednesday May 17th). Still up for debate after that point but the surface low seems to get a 2nd wind as it pushes east by some cold uppers. Then it gets a coral sea moisture feed :) Another few runs needed to clarify May 18th to 22nd IMO but I'm liking the look of that atmospheric river. I think there is going to be a water bomb somewhere in the eastern states in that period.

Looks like you will get a nice drop tomorrow Tassie Dave.

0.4 degree start here today and a few more of those mornings to come for the next few days. Late next week keeps getting the models excited http://www.theaustralianweatherforum.co ... 56#p100356 :)

Persistent low cloud has only kept my maximum down to 13.7 so far. That's consistent with Frankston's 12.9 and friend's weather station in Skye at 13.4.

The southern suburbs definitely the coolest today, compared to 16s and 17s further north.

Glorious weather the last few days in the Dandenongs. Things look a treat after the last system (we finished on 28mm) with the deciduous trees changing colour, grass nice and green and frogs, ducks and yabbies out :D Cool clear nights followed by mild misty days. Looks like another three or four days to come.

Another peasouper this morning down here. Visibility down to between 50 and 100m. Cars slowed right down to 40km/h on the highway. Mostly cleared up by the time i got to about Dandenong and all gone by the time i got to Scoresby.

Very cold too with the car gauge showing temps of between 2 and 4 degrees, even in the fog.

I just saw also my stats so far and am running a full 2 degrees below average for minimum temps, and one degree for maximums.
